Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Highway 101 at I-80 Connector in San Francisco

Rider Killed in San Francisco Accident on Highway 101 at I-80 Connector 

San Francisco, California (June 7, 2022) – A crash involving a motorcycle left one person dead early Tuesday morning in San Francisco, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred on the southbound Highway 101 connector to Interstate 80 at around 3:30 a.m.

CHP said a man in his 30s was riding a motorcycle on the highway when he was involved in  a crash and was ejected onto the I-80 ramp to southbound Highway 101.

The rider fell onto a moving vehicle, which was then struck by another car after it stopped in the traffic lanes.

The rider was pronounced deceased at the scene.

There was no update on the conditions of other involved parties.

The southbound Highway 101 connector to eastbound I-80 was closed following the collision.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
